Q. Why is fitness so important for my dog?

A. Nearly 40-50% of dogs in the U.S. are overweight. SPCA studies have shown that overweight dogs are more prone to increased health problems. These include heart, respiratory and digestive impairments, slower healing processes, poor resistance to viral and bacterial infections, and aggravated orthopedic conditions.

 

Q. What if my dog is not overweight?

A. Your dog’s mental health may also benefit from regular exercise. Activity keeps oxygen and other nutrients like glucose (blood sugar) at optimum levels in the brain, leading to improved brain function and an overall happier, more balanced Fido.

 

Q. What guidelines exist for dog fitness requirements?

A. The ASPCA recommends that dogs receive a minimum of two outings per day. One for 45-60 minutes and the second for 30-45 minutes. Some breeds require more strenuous regimens, some less.

 

Q. Do you group walk my dogs with others?

A. No! While it is more economical for companies to walk 4 or 5 dogs at a time, this is not necessarily safest, healthiest or least stressful approach for your pooch. As a matter of policy the only time we walk multiple dogs is when they are from the same household. Call it what they may (socializing, group 'outings', etc.), the only reason dog walkers walk multiple dogs at the same time is to make more money in a shorter period of time. We take a safer, more personalized approach to caring for your dog.

 

Q. What will it cost me?

A. That depends on your program. Some dogs may only need 3 walks per week, some as many as 10 depending on the owners schedule and availability.Here are our rates:

• 20 min walk : $20.00

• 30 min walk : $25.00

• 60 min walk : $40.00

• 90 min walk : $50.00

• Play Therapy: $35.00/session

 

Q. How do I get started?

A. Give us a call (704 827 7095) or send text message 24 to 48 hours before the first walk and we will set up a short meeting to get to know you and your dog(s) after that we will get you on the schedule and you can relax knowing that your dog is going to get the exercise and mental stimulation that he or she needs.
